More thoughts, now that I’m over halfway through the book. Again, do not read if you haven’t read the series or this book yet.
All right, forget it, this is just going to be a book blog, and not specifically a manga blog, as this is getting out of hand.
Major spoilers ahead, so do not read further if you haven’t caught up yet, and intend to.
So this is probably going to be a mostly manga blog, and what better way to start it off than with a non-manga!
Actually, this isn’t even about the book’s content, this is more about how frigging heavy this thing is.
I’ve never wanted an e-reader more than with this book. And I am distinctly anti-e-book. But seriously, this thing weighs about ten pounds and I can’t read it when I’m eating like I usually do, since it’s too heavy to prop up and open with one hand. And I try to read it in bed, but I have to prop it up on my stomach, or off to the side with a pillow, and then I can’t get comfortable, or my neck feels strained after three minutes.
I’m only about three chapters in, and it’s driving me bonkers, just with the whole mechanics of reading it.
This is on top of the whole drama of actually getting it from Amazon, where it was Shipping Soon for three days and driving me insane, plus the mailman hid it on my neighbor’s windowsill for some unfathomable reason so I couldn’t find it when it was actually Delivered.
