Wrap up. Spoilers, etc., etc., etc.
Jon Snow may be dead. Uh… I sincerely hope not. That was pretty shocking, and I’m not sure how he’s going to escape death with four pretty awful stab wounds. Maybe something to do with his warg powers? He CAN’T be dead. Although Ned, Catelyn, and Robb Stark can’t be dead either… but they are.
Stannis may be dead. Well, this I’m less upset about, and the whole things smells fishy to me. Ramsey was shrieking about the return of his wife, but if Stannis really was dead, he should have his wife back, yes? It does sound like Mance has either been captured or turned coat, not sure which one.
Kevan Lannister is most definitely dead. Welp, so much for him. Once again, the guy trying to do the right thing for the most part ends up dead because he’s just not convenient to the overall plan. This one by Varys, who is all for the return of the Targaryens. I wonder which one though. Aegon, it sounds like. And does he want Aegon to marry Dany? That would be two. But the Targaryen dragon is three-headed, which means there’s still another head floating around out there… *cough*JONSNOW*cough*
Quentyn Martell is also most definitely dead. Stupid fool. USELESS. Herp derp, dragons is dangerous?
Theon and Asha are at long last reunited. I am begrudgingly rooting for Theon, although I really can’t forgive him for Winterfell. Still, I was pretty pleased he made it to Stannis’s camp with Jeyne.
Victarion rescued a stranded red priest, and seems to be falling under his thrall. What’s the deal with these red priests anyway? What do they want? They must have an ulterior motive of some kind.
Tyrion was dead boring this book and just kind of floating along. And gawd, Penny is annoying. Just what we need, another Sansa.
Dany was also dead boring in this book just languishing and wringing her hands in Meereen until Drogon carried her away. Drogon returned her to the Dothraki where she is found by one of the new Khals.
Arya has learned how to assume faces and has started her assassinations. Although she still recalls who she is, much to the irritation of her teachers.
Cersei is being suspiciously obedient and humble after her walk of shame. Why isn’t she dead yet?
And now the wait for book 6 begins. Hopefully this is frigging done before 2017.
