I ran out of posts and I’m stressed about life currently and not really in a writing mood. I’ll try to get some more reviews lined up shortly, hopefully with some of the purchases I made in San Diego.
If I get my job grant renewed, I’ll buy another comic book and review that as well.
Once again, I apologize for the hopefully short break.
I recently joined tumblr because I wanted to follow a bunch of tumblrs (blogs? tumbles?). I haven’t written anything over there yet; just reposted a few comics I found interesting, along with a link back to here. Anyway, one of the tumblrs I started following is by @allaboutmanga called
Ladies in Comic Book Stores. (EDIT: she changed the name of her tumblr. It is now Ladies Buying Comics.)
This post covers books 2-4 of the Parasol Protectorate series, which includes Changeless, Blameless, and Heartless.
Once again, Del Rey/Kodansha leaves me hanging.
For the first half of what I saw in 2011, see here.
This covers movies I saw from September to December 2011, what I still need to see, and what I enjoyed the most.
My friend Beth recommended this to me AGES ago, and now after I finally read it, I wonder what took me so long to heed her advice. (Oh good lord, it was over a year ago, I’m horrible.)
Because I can’t really bring myself to read Furuya’s Lychee Light Club, which came out in spring 2011 to critical acclaim, I decided to go with a slightly lighter manga he did, Genkaku Picasso.
