Just a brief food post.
Apple cheddar scones. Recipe from smitten kitchen. I had some granny smith apples that needed using, and I don’t normally eat those kind of apples plain. Honeycrisp and Fuji are my eating apples.
Slightly overdone. Also, my cheddar wasn’t sharp enough, as I could barely taste the cheese baked into it. These are much improved when eaten with a slice of cheese on top of it. I may forego the sugar sprinkling on top, too, to get away from a sweet scone.
Random food post here! But it’s my blog, so I’ll do what I want!
